Biography
Dr. Hamsani is a senior physician in the department of otolaryngology at Rabin Medical Center and director of the throat treatment and vocal cord surgery service.
He graduated with honors in medical studies from the Technion in Haifa. He specializes in diseases of the nervous system and head and neck surgery at Belinson Hospital and Schneider Children’s Hospital in Petah Tikva.U completed a residency in vocal cord and laryngeal surgery at Hospital Europeen Georges Pompidou (HEGP) in Paris. He has been working at Rabin Medical Center since 2012, and has extensive experience in performing clinical procedures and endoscopic throat surgery (without neck incisions) using laser and robotic surgery.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Hamzani is an academic researcher at the Faculty of Medicine at Tel Aviv University. He has published numerous articles in the leading international professional press in the field of Autoimmune Autonomic Ganglionopathy and has lectured at medical conferences in Israel and around the world. His research on the evaluation of the voice after laser throat surgery won first place at the prestigious American Laryngological Society conference in 2013.
As part of his practice in treating voice and swallowing disorders, Dr. Hamzani combines advanced diagnostic methods with exhaustive conservative treatment options before deciding on surgery.
