Neurologist

Biography

Senior neurologist specializing in movement disorders and Parkinson’s disease.

Dr. Schlesinger completed her clinical training in neurology at Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem and at Meir Hospital, Sapir Medical Center in Kfar-Saba. She later specialized in the field of movement disorders and Parkinson’s disease at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Education:

  • In 1989, Dr. Schlesinger earned her medical degree from the Hebrew University Medical School in Jerusalem. She underwent clinical training in neurology at Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem and at Meir Hospital, Sapir Medical Center in Kfar-Saba.
  • In 2001, she completed her residency in movement disorders and Parkinson’s disease at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester, Massachusetts, USA.


Clinical Experience:

  • Dr. Schlesinger is the head of the Movement Disorders Institute at Rambam Health Care Campus. She also founded the Center for Focused Ultrasound Treatment of Movement Disorders in collaboration with the Department of Neurosurgery at Rambam.


Research and Academic Activities:

  • Dr. Schlesinger’s primary research focus is on innovative methods for treating movement disorders.
