Deputy Director of the Neuro-Oncology Department at Sourasky Medical Center in Tel Aviv

Dr. Felix Bokstein has solidified his position as an internationally competent specialist in the fields of oncology, neurology, and neuro-oncology. He has made a significant contribution to the development of neuro-oncology as a priority area of medicine in Israel. As an expert in all areas of neuro-oncology, Dr. Bokstein focuses on researching one of the most aggressive classes of diseases: brain tumors.

After completing his studies at Moscow University, Dr. Bokstein continued his education at several prestigious medical institutions in Israel. For decades, he has studied the field of neuro-oncology, encompassing the full spectrum of diseases, and has focused on researching the most promising treatment methods. In a relatively short time, he has advanced significantly in his career, gained prestige among esteemed colleagues, and became the head of the neuro-oncology department at the “Ichilov” Medical Center.

To develop this department, Dr. Bookstein actively participates in research work in collaboration with internationally recognized medical experts in this field. He is a member of international neuro-oncological communities and associations as an expert. The results of his research are regularly published in renowned medical journals, highly regarded among peers and medical staff. He imparts his invaluable academic experience to the new generation of doctors as a lecturer at the Tel Aviv University Medical School.

Patients from all over the world recognize Dr. Bookstein as a highly qualified specialist and simply a trustworthy individual. He has treated over a thousand patients who have successfully overcome diseases such as brain and spinal cord tumors (glioblastoma, meningioma, astrocytoma); neoplastic pathologies of peripheral nerves; various diseases of the peripheral nervous system, and other diseases related to this sphere.

Additionally, he has achieved incredible success in treating epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, and speech disorders. His unique individual approach to each diagnosis, as well as his immense interest in the patient’s recovery, has always been sought after by his patients and admired by colleagues. Through his example, he encourages student staff to self-improve, as well as current and future professionals.
