Biography

Dr. Erez Avisar is a renowned specialist in hand surgery and orthopedics in Israel and internationally. With over 16 years of clinical experience, he possesses skills in minimally invasive joint replacement surgery, arthroscopic surgery of the upper limbs, peripheral nerve and tendon repair, treatment of post-traumatic conditions, and Dupuytren’s contracture treatment using Xiapex injections, among others. He serves as the Head of the Hand Surgery Clinic.

Education and Medical Practice:

Dr. Erez Avisar graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the Technion University of Technology in 1995. He completed his internship in orthopedic surgery at Assaf Harofe Medical Center, followed by a hand surgery internship. He then pursued a year-long fellowship at University College London and Great Ormond Street Hospital in 2010, and another year-long fellowship at the Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center in 2011.

Academic Endeavors:

Erez Avisar teaches at Tel Aviv University and London Global University, conducting research on immobilization techniques for bone fractures, treatment of articular cartilage degeneration at the base of the thumb, and peripheral nerve treatment.
