Biography
Alona Zer-Koch is a leading Israeli oncologist, specializing in the treatment of bone and soft tissue sarcomas, lung cancer and malignant tumors, and other neoplasms in the thoracic region. Alona Zer-Koch currently runs the sarcoma treatment clinic at the Cancer Center. Over 15 years of clinical experience – more than a thousand saved patients.
Prof. Zer-Koch conducts research work in the field of oncology. In 2015, she conducted a research paper entitled “Occurrence of WD/DD liposarcoma-type sarcoma: a genome-wide association study” in collaboration with the Institute of Cancer Research (Ontario, Canada). In 2010, as part of collaborative research with the Faculty of Natural Sciences at Tel Aviv University, she was recognized by the Israeli Cancer Association.
